Presentation Of The First Anchor Installer Produced In Russia.
JSC Machine-Building Holding (Yekaterinburg) will present for the first time at the exhibition the latest drilling rig for installation of anchor support DR-B1, designed and manufactured by its own forces.
In an effort to help mining companies ensure the safety of their personnel, this year JSC Machine-Building Holding manufactured the first prototype of the DR-B1 mechanized bolt installation unit, which will be presented at the Mining World Russia exhibition in Moscow.
At the moment, the rig is successfully undergoing tests in working conditions, and immediately after the exhibition, the rig will be sent to the enterprise of one of the customers. With the release of the DR-B1 rig, the company has successfully completed the task of providing mining enterprises with the entire line of underground self-propelled drilling rigs necessary for carrying out a range of drilling operations in the development of medium-sized cross-sections of mine workings.

One of the key priorities when designing drilling rigs at the enterprise is the safety of people, therefore the boom of the DR-B1 rig is equipped with a special manipulator for capturing and holding a steel mesh, which eliminates the presence of a person in an unsecured working. The drilling rig is also equipped with a high-performance hydraulic perforator RD314-MX, with a capacity of 14 kW, of its own production - visitors to the exhibition will also be able to see it in person. In 2024, this perforator model successfully passed a series of industrial tests in the mine of one of the customers of JSC Machine-Building Holding in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
The design of the drilling module provides for the possibility of installing anchors up to 3 m in length, and the automated storage cassette holds up to 15 anchors. Depending on the configuration, the DR-B1 unit allows for the installation of various designs, such as the Swellex hydraulic expansion type, the SZA friction type, steel-polymer anchors or fiberglass anchors with chemical fastening.
The DR-B1 unit is designed and manufactured on the basis of the chassis of the DF-B1 tunnel boring machine and the DH-B1 cleaning machine (also manufactured by JSC Machine-Building Holding), which allows for the unification of the spare parts warehouse by up to 80%, as well as a reduction in maintenance time when using machines manufactured by JSC Machine-Building Holding.
