Business Programme: Main Industry Trends
As part of the business program of the exhibition, 21 events were held. 134 speakers spoke, including representatives of top management and heads of departments from AIM MANAGEMENT, ALROSA, AREAL, Eurochem, Zangezur Copper-Molybdenum Plant, Metalloinvest, Mechel, NordGold, Norilsk Nickel, Pavlik, Polymetal, POLYUS, Raspadskaya Coal Company, Rosatom Nedra, Rosgeologia, Russian Copper Company, Severstal, Ural Steel and others.
At conferences and sessions, topical issues of the industry, trends in the management of mining enterprises were discussed, successful cases of digital transformation, robotization and the use of AI were shared.
The business program began with the presentation of a joint study by Zyfra Group, the consulting company Kept and the MiningWorld Russia exhibition. The main conclusion of the study is that digitalization is fragmentary, and not everyone is ready to go into new digital projects.
"End-to-end digitalization is a matter of the future for companies. Today, a limited number of enterprises have it. This is due to the long implementation and payback period, with outdated infrastructure, which does not allow for comprehensive end-to-end digitalization. Somewhere there is a lack of competencies. Somewhere there are restrictions in the legislation," said Igor Korotetsky, Partner, Head of the Engineering Department at Kept.
The plenary session of the Mining Industry Leaders Forum was opened by Mikhail Ivanov, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation. He noted that the mining industry is one of the key industries in the Russian economy and confirmed that the state is ready to set up support tools and contribute in every possible way to the implementation of projects.
"In recent years, we have significantly expanded our support tools to bring new products to market. Today, we already have well-established mechanisms for interaction with mining enterprises: together we form up-to-date roadmaps. Everything that appears on the mining equipment market today with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade meets modern requirements and can be competitive not only in Russia, but also abroad, including among our closest neighbors," said Mikhail Ivanov.
