1. The first stage of construction of the gold processing plant at the Vysokoye Mining and Processing Plant has been completed
Commissioning works at the Yuzhuralzoloto Group enterprise were completed by May, and the first gold was obtained in the same month. The second stage of construction will last until 2027.
2. Ural replenished its diamond reserves by 250 thousand carats
The growth in volumes is due to the increase in reserves of the Syuzevskaya placer, the largest diamond deposit in the Urals. As a result of the work, reserves increased by 60% - from 430.5 thousand to 685 thousand carats.
3. The Kaliningrad Amber Plant set a record for nugget mining
In the first two weeks of September, the company found 4 nuggets weighing more than 1 kg each, the largest weighing 2.1 kg. In total, 10 nuggets were found in the quarry from January to September.
4. More than 54 tons of gold were mined in Yakutia
The volume of gold production in Yakutia by the end of 2024 exceeded the mark of 54 tons . Yakutia retained its second place in the TOP-3 largest gold mining regions of Russia.
5. Mikhailovsky GOK produced 600 million tons of concentrate
The impressive result is the result of half a century of work - from 1973 to 2024, the enterprise produced 600 million tons of concentrate. The plant produces 16 million tons of products annually.
6. Construction of special wells has begun at the Mir-Gluboky mine
The Mir-Gluboky underground mine construction project began with the drilling of 84 freeze wells. ALROSA-Spetsbureniye plans to drill 42 wells in the skip shaft and 42 wells in the cage shaft section.
7. The risk category for placer deposits will be changed from “medium” to “significant”
The resolution was approved by the Government of the Russian Federation with the aim of strengthening control over the activities of enterprises that are engaged in the development of placer gold deposits. Thus, government agencies will be able to conduct more frequent inspections - once every three years with the possibility of strengthening control if violations are detected.
8. The first gold was obtained from the ore of Sukhoi Log
At the beginning of the year, Sukhoi Log, one of the world's largest gold deposits in terms of reserves, entered the pilot production stage. In September, the Verninskaya gold processing plant produced its first gold from the ore mined at the deposit.
9. Ozerny Mining and Processing Plant has been launched into operation
It is planned that in 2025 the plant will reach its design capacity of 6 million tons of ore per year. Thus, the enterprise will annually produce up to 600 thousand tons of zinc concentrate and up to 82 thousand tons of lead concentrate.
10. 578 companies took part in MiningWorld Russia 2024
The 28th International Exhibition of Machinery and Equipment for Mining, Processing and Transportation of Minerals MiningWorld Russia has broken its records again. In 2024, 578 companies took part in it, including more than 350 international ones.
