Mining element presented the results of its participation in miningWorld Russia 2024
The Mining Element booth staff held dozens of negotiations, exchanged experience and knowledge, and presented both proven and newly released products.
The 28th International Exhibition of Machinery and Equipment for Mining, Processing and Transportation of Minerals MiningWorld Russia 2024 became the largest in its history. Its territory occupied more than 30 thousand square meters – four halls of Pavilion 1 of the Crocus Expo IEC were filled with participants and guests.
New direction of "Mining Element" - underground self-propelled equipment
In 2023, the company launched a line that includes spare parts for underground self-propelled equipment. This year, the stand attendants from Mining Element noted that these parts were the most in demand at the exhibition.
At MiningWorld Russia 2024, the company brought spare parts that are in high demand - products for the EPIROC, Normet, Sandvik brands. They can be divided into three main groups:
// Filters: air, oil, fuel. The direction includes more than 500 articles of spare parts and components.
// Hydraulic pumps. This area includes axial piston, gear pumps, valves, and consumables for hydraulics.
// Hydraulic drills. Mining Element brought one of the experimental samples to the exhibition: RDE-18. The first one is already being tested at one of the enterprises of the Russian Federation. This drill is suitable for work on the most popular drilling rigs of the Boomer and Simba families.
“In the near future, we plan to offer customers equally popular spare parts and components for Dana, Kessler transmissions, spare parts for Volvo, Deutz, Cummins internal combustion engines, as well as complete engines,” said Andrey Novikov, Director of the Projects and Materials Department at Mining Element .
Customization
The Mining Element booth staff noted the increased interest of visitors in parts for crushing equipment: many requests were received to develop solutions for protection against uneven wear.
"We can offer solutions that increase the efficiency of the crushing process and the wear of the armor. One of the cases: at an iron ore plant, ore was loaded into the KKD-1500 gyratory crusher only from one side. As a result, the wear of the crusher bowl linings, especially its lower belts, was uneven. Our specialists suggested changing the armor alloy on the dump car unloading side. At the moment, segments along the entire perimeter of the crusher bowl wear out simultaneously. Thanks to this, the interval between repairs has increased, and the enterprise has received significant savings in money and time on crusher relining," said Alexey Zubekhin, Director of the Crushing and Sorting Department at Mining Element .
New brands
This year, import substitution once again became one of the main topics of business communication at the exhibition. Specialists from Mining Element and Nordfelt discussed with clients the production of spare parts using reverse engineering.
However, in addition to requests for replacement parts for equipment of brands that have left Russia, the stand guests were interested in the production of spare parts for Chinese, Turkish and Russian equipment. The equipment park at mining and non-metallic enterprises has become much more diverse. Clear leaders have appeared on the market - Chinese enterprises that supply a wide range of crushing and sorting equipment.
By the way, in 2024, Mining Element began cooperation with large Chinese partners: LIMING and Mining Partner. These companies are in the top 3 in terms of the amount of equipment supplied to the Russian market. Mining Element will provide owners of machines from these manufacturers with spare parts for the entire range of crushing and sorting equipment.
Demand for spare parts for rare or exclusive types of equipment also continues to grow. Previously, manufacturers sold large quantities of parts for such machines.
"Not everyone was ready for the departure of OEM manufacturers. If earlier it was much more convenient for many customers to order rare spare parts from Western suppliers, then at the moment there was no replacement. We expanded our line, focusing on the needs of our customers. Thus, in 2023, the company increased coverage for Sandvik and Metso from 70% to 85-90% depending on the models ," Zubekhin noted.
Reliable partnership
Over the past year, the mining industry has seen a plethora of players of varying degrees of reliability. The number of offers is growing, but not all of them meet customer requirements.
"At the moment, we see a great demand from the market for reliable partners. The general instability of the situation creates a need for proven supplies, parts and service. Our company provides such solutions: we design and manufacture products, work on individual projects, custom design, and have significant experience in deliveries. We are also always in close contact with our customers," commented Marat Abdurakhimov, Development Director of Mining Element .
