Invitation to participate in the study "Mining Industry of Russia: Investments in Digital Technologies 2026 and a Look into the Future"

The world is changing at a tremendous rate, and individual businesses and entire industries are rapidly transforming in the wake of technology. The mining industry, traditionally considered one of the most conservative and capital-intensive, is currently undergoing a profound digital transformation, which is becoming more than just a trend, but a prerequisite for effective and successful market existence.
Occupational safety, environmental sustainability, cost reduction, and increased productivity today largely depend directly on the penetration of digital technologies. End-to-end process automation, predictive analytics of mining equipment conditions, autonomous technology, and digital monitoring enable mining companies not only to minimize various risks but also to reach new levels of operational performance.
To assess the true picture of ongoing changes, we are conducting a study on the level of digitalization in the Russian mining industry.
The goal is to assess the current level of digitalization in the mining industry, analyze which digital technologies are most in demand and have become the norm for the industry, and which are still only in strategic plans, and determine investment priorities for digitalization in the industry.
The study was organized by Tsifra Group and Kept. The study was supported by MiningWorld Russia.
We invite representatives of mining companies to participate and complete a short survey, which will take no more than 10 minutes.

All results will be presented in an aggregated, generalized and anonymized form.
As a thank you for participating in the survey, respondents will receive a link to a broadcast of the presentation of the study's findings at the opening business event of MiningWorld Russia 2026 – the Mining Industry Leaders Forum , as well as access to the final study report after the official presentation.
By digitalization projects, we mean the implementation and application of the following technologies in the company's production processes:
// Predictive equipment maintenance technologies
// AI optimization/process advisors
// Autonomous mining equipment
// Industrial IIoT
// Integration platforms / single digital data space / MES
// Dispatching
// Machine vision
// Digital twins
// State Geographical Information System (GGIS)
// APC (Advanced Process Control) systems
Survey deadline: March 18, 2026
